Murals that Transform Space When the Ordinary becomes the Extraordinary | |
|
"Marleens Wines 'n' Vines" Marleen & Lewis have a small galley kitchen with a door at the end of it that goes into the common hallway. The door really "closed you in". Marleen enjoys the wine and the vineyard motif, so I designed and painted an open arched window looking out over her very own vineyard, with a glasses of wine ready to serve. To complete the transformation from closed space to open space, I painted in an old built-in wine rack below to store her favorite trompe' loil vino. I also matched her existing tile back splash. The mural is approximately 7 feet x 3.5 feet. |

"Legends" What do you do with a stair way to make it a focal point? You create a fantasy to greet family members and guests! This mural comes from the movie "Legends" and turns a landing of a stairwell into an experience. We continued the motif in another corner of the room with a simple little garden scene. ![]() |

"Jacob's Castle" What do you do with a blank wall in a child's room? You create a world of imagination! Jacob's knight battles the ferocious lion and protects Jacob, the castle and the damsel within. Mural is 7 feet x 12 feet |

"Browns' Boat House" The Browns' were tired of their ordinary pool area. Their style was more "Lets go fishin" so we transformed their pool deck surround in a fishing village theme, characterized for the kids enjoyment as well as Genes & Kathys. ![]() |
| Murals can transform an ordinary wall or boring corner into a focal point in the decor, expanding the space or creating a fascinating ambience for the room. The process begins in the imagination when the artist sees something different when he looks at the blank canvas of the ordinary. Please return to the Murals page to see more of these transformations. |
